The Catholic Parish of Bridgetown was formally declared in 1903 and placed under the protection of St Brigid of Ireland. However a church and school had been in operation since 1894. The Parish today is a thriving community with its own St Brigid’s Primary School and St Brigid’s Church in Bridgetown, and Mass centres in Balingup, Greenbushes and Nannup.
